Under Cabinet Microwave

Most of the people living in apartments and small houses face the problem of confined space. A small home/apartment means a smaller kitchen. When there is an answer to every problem, the under cabinet microwave is the answer to small kitchen space. An Under Cabinet Microwave is designed to save the valuable counter space and cooking space. They perform the same functions as a regular microwave. All under cabinet microwaves utilize the smart and easy sensor technology for cooking and reheating. They are easy to clean.

The under cabinet microwaves are lighter than the usual microwaves as they need to be installed beneath the cabinet. If you are installing an under cabinet microwave, make sure you do so properly otherwise it could be dangerous.

Installing a microwave under the cabinet is easy if you follow the steps below.

INSTALLATION

Measure the wall are where the Under Cabinet Microwave is to be fixed with a measuring tape and mark the centre. Find the wall studs and mark them. Next align the central line   of the wall template (it comes with the microwave) with the one you marked earlier on the wall and secure it with a tape beneath the kitchen cabinet.

For proper and secure installation mark 4 holes one at each corner and another one which coincides with the wall stud. Drill holes using 3/8 inch drill bit for toggle screws in case of no wall stud. For wall stud use a 3/16 inch bit for lag screws. Place the mounting plate on the wall such that it aligns with the centre line and then secure it on the wall with screws.

In the next step drill four 3/ 8 inch holes and another 2 inch whole for the power cord. Lift the microwave with some help and hang it on the support tabs at the bottom of the mounting plate slip the power cord through the hole bored and tighten the screws in the upper cabinet.
